2026 Trilogy Challenge Discs: First Throw Reactions with Broderic

Every year the Trilogy Challenge gives disc golfers the chance to try out news discs in a casual tournament format, and every year the question is the same: are they any good? 

We took the 2026 discs straight to Hammond Park for 9 holes of honest, unscripted first throw reactions with disc golf content creator Broderic to find out.

The 2026 Trilogy Challenge Discs

This year's pack includes three discs spanning the full bag: the Latitude 64 Amber, the Dynamic Discs Mutiny, and the Westside Discs Shield.

Latitude 64 Amber is a lightweight understable fairway driver coming in lighter weights. It flies straight and smooth with high glide, making it beginner friendly without feeling like a beginner disc. 

Dynamic Discs Mutiny sits somewhere between the Justice and Verdict in stability. It carries a Justice hand feel with a slightly lower speed, flying straighter than the Justice but finishing with more reliable fade than the Verdict. Broderic described it as a "less aggressive Justice," and on the course it proved workable, controllable, and trustworthy on precision shots.

Westside Discs Shield is a deep dish putter with good stability and comfortable glide. Think of it as a bulked up version of the Westside Crown. It holds its line confidently and finishes with a reliable fade. It rewards players who throw it with enough height to let it work.

Same Pack, Different Favorites

What made this round interesting is that we each gravitated toward different discs. The Amber stood out as a clear favorite for one of us, while the Mutiny earned its keep for the other.
