Pitch for Pins 2026
The best disc golf course in your town might not exist yet. It might be nine baskets behind a rec center, or tucked into a corner of a park nobody's using. Short holes. Easy to find. The kind of course where somebody picks up a disc for the first time and decides they want to come back tomorrow.
That's what Pitch for Pins is for. We're giving two communities a full 9-hole course, baskets and tee signs, no cost. You bring the park and the people. We'll bring the gear.
Tell us where it should go.
What each winning community receives
- 9 Permanent Patriot Baskets with ground sleeves
- Locking collars and padlocks with keys
- 9 Basic Tee Signs with frames
- Free shipping within the Continental U.S.
What's not included: installation, concrete, tee pads, or tee sign poles. Those are on your end, and most past winners have handled them through their parks department, a local club, or community fundraising.
Why 9-hole courses?
Short, beginner-friendly courses are how most people fall in love with disc golf. They fit in smaller parks. They work in shared-use spaces. They don't need a big property or a long walk between holes. Some of the most played courses in the world aren't the hardest ones, they're the ones that are easy to come back to.
That's what we're trying to build more of. Pitch for Pins is back after a few years away, and this is where we're starting.
How to apply
Fill out the application and send us a short video about your project. Tell us who you are, where the course would go, and why your community is ready for it. A phone video is fine. We care more about the story than the production.
A few things to include if you can:
- Who you are and your connection to the community
- Where the course would be installed
- Why this course would matter for new players
- Any community, school, or municipal support behind it
How winners are selected
After the submission window closes, our team will choose five finalists. Their videos will be shared across our social media channels so the disc golf community can see the projects, hear the stories, and weigh in on the ones that stand out.
From those five, we'll select two winning communities. Finalists will be announced in August. Winners shortly after.
What we're looking for
Pitch for Pins is meant for projects that are realistic, community-driven, and focused on growing the sport at the beginner level. You don't need to have every detail figured out. But projects that show preparation, local support, and a clear vision tend to stand out.The strongest applications usually:
- Focus on beginners and first-time players
- Fit naturally within a smaller park or shared-use space
- Show local enthusiasm and long-term vision
- Have realistic expectations for installation and upkeep
We're starting with two courses this year. If this goes the way we hope, we want to do more.
