Pitch for Pins is back. Applications are open.
The best disc golf course in your town might not exist yet. It might be nine baskets behind a rec center, or tucked into a corner of a park nobody's using. Short holes. Easy to find. The kind of course where somebody picks up a disc for the first time and decides they want to come back tomorrow.
That's what Pitch for Pins is for, and after a few years away, we're bringing it back.
What it is
Pitch for Pins is our way of helping communities put real disc golf courses on the ground. This year, we're giving two communities a full 9-hole course: nine Permanent Patriot Baskets with ground sleeves, locking collars and padlocks, nine Basic Tee Signs with frames, and free shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. You bring the park and the people. We bring the gear.
What a winning pitch looks like
If you're wondering what kind of video to send us, here's the 2020 pitch video from one of the communities that won.
How to apply
Head to the Pitch for Pins page, fill out the application, and send us a short video (around 90 seconds) about your project. Tell us who you are, where the course would go, and why your community is ready for it. A phone video is fine. We care more about the story than the production.
After the submission window closes, our team will choose five finalists. Their videos will be shared publicly so the disc golf community can see the projects, hear the stories, and weigh in on the ones that stand out. From those five finalists, we'll select two winning communities.
We're starting with two courses this year. If this goes the way we hope, we want to do more.
Know somebody who should apply?
Send them this page. The best applications come from people who've been thinking about this for a while, the parks director who's been quietly wanting a course, the local club organizer with a spot in mind, the parent who knows their kid would love this sport if there were anywhere to play. If that's somebody in your life, point them our way.
